Photos of Surrealist Nature and Beauty of Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan does not require a visa to access it. It is easy enough to travel if you are ready to transfer somewhere. It does not really offer direct flights from most places. You will fly to the capital Bishkek which is already surrounded by crazy mountains. It starts right there. When entering the city, you already see snowy peaks around you. Basically, this whole country has immense heights and mountains. It’s on a different level than we are used to in Europe.
Being at an altitude of about 3000m is quite common here, with peaks over 7000m and occasional hikes over 4000m. I had a little trouble with the altitudes at the beginning of my visit but it disappeared after a while.
The nature in Kyrgyzstan is really intact and many locals live like nomads. The country roads are rather bad. In fact, I was surprised to learn that most vehicles were marked on Google Maps because a normal rental car could never be used. You need at least a high 4 × 4. But with some effort (driving on bad roads and steep hiking trails), you’ll be able to see one of the most beautiful unspoilt nature you’ve ever seen. Endless valleys with huge mountains around you, turquoise lakes, wild eagles, canyons, etc. This country has everything.
A few hours’ drive took me to snow-capped mountains and moon-like landscapes with red canyons and supernatural textures. Americans would see it as “Utah”. Because of the remote areas, there is literally no light pollution here. During the night, looking up, you’ll see the brightest milky way in the sky you’ve ever seen.
Kyrgyzstan is an incredibly beautiful country with a truly unspoilt nature and I would definitely recommend visiting it.
I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
